8 Of The Best Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurants in Marbella

Marbella is absolutely packed with top-tier restaurants, at a range of price points to suit all budgets, from high end gastronomy to quick, casual dining. Much of the focus of Marbella’s cuisine is on healthy eating, serving fresh food free of nasty ingredients. Buddha bowls and smoothies can be found everywhere, the perfect light choice for sunny Andalusian days
Although the handful of purely plant-based restaurants in the central area are sadly now permanently closed, many restaurants in Marbella offer a range of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as gluten free and keto choices for the health-conscious visitor.
During my diving holiday in Marbella, I visited some fantastic restaurants with delicious plant based dishes – not to mention the ones I had recommended but didn’t even get to! All of the restaurants in this guide offer great vegetarian options, and most also have a solid vegan offering.
Yabaof
So good I went here twice.
Found on a corner between Marbella’s seafront and Old Town, Yabaof is the perfect fast casual dining spot in Marbella for vegans and vegetarians. The restaurant’s owner can often be found cooking and serving in the restaurant, and the service was super friendly and personal.
With plant-based chicken, falafel, chickpea and vegetable options, the menu at Yabaof offers a multitude of homely, authentic dishes to enjoy in their small dining space, or to take away to the beach. Seriously, give the vegan shawarma a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Manuka
With four branches across the length of Marbella, you’ll never be far from delicious natural and organic cuisine at Manuka!
I visited the Plaza del Mar branch, with a beachfront terrace and restaurant in the middle of Marbella’s ‘Golden Mile’.
There’s plenty on the menu for vegan and vegetarian diners, including the Teriyaki Bowl with tofu (vegan), Kale ‘Caesar’ Salad (vegan) and a Beyond Burger.
I had the vegetarian Tofu Pad Thai, which was gorgeously fresh and packed with flavour. For €14.50, the portion size was generous and filled me up for the rest of the afternoon.

Rachel’s Eco Love
If the charming white and mint-green exterior of Rachel’s Eco Love isn’t enough to pull you in immediately, the menu will be! Founder Raquel Zamora’s mantra is ‘do what you love’, and that mantra becomes clear from the level of detail in the food and atmosphere here.
On the menu, you’ll find nourishing brunch and lunch dishes, including a scrambled tofu wrap (vegan), Keto Avocado Benedict (vegetarian), zucchini noodle pasta and a range of fruit-packed granola and acai bowls.
Save room for a homemade vegan cake afterwards!

Kohala Poké
I LOVE a good Hawaiian-style poké bowl, and Kohala pack theirs with fresh, healthy ingredients. You can pick a pre-set bowl, or create your own, from €11.45 per bowl.
The create-your-own option is great for vegetarians and vegans, with a tofu topping, vegan cashew sauce and plenty of veggies. For something a little heartier, Kohala also offer wraps and a selection of sides – including hummus, guacamole and sweet potato fries.

Headed further south beyond Puerto Banus? (or willing to make the trip?) For an all-day brunch vibe in San Pedro with great vegetarian and vegan menu options, Hustle ‘n’ Flow is the perfect go-to. Colourful juices to fuel your day, plus a range of dishes including the iconic Morning Glory: a sweet potato and carrot rosti served with smashed avo, two poached eggs sprinkled with chilli flakes, cucumber garnish & homemade hollandaise sauce.
The ‘Game Changer’ is an epic stacked Beyond Meat burger, served with loads of toppings including caramelized onion and vegan cheese. If you’re more into something sweet, indulge in vegan pancakes with apple and cinammon or vegan salted caramel.

The Farm
I spent my last night in Marbella dining solo at The Farm, booking my visit to coincide with their flamenco night – they run on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Nestled in the centre of Marbella’s Old Town, The Farm is a colourful, lively restaurant with a terrace and outdoor seating. Their focus is on slow food made from organic ingredients, with transparency and a genuine passion for cooking.
My vegetarian three course tasting menu began with a wonderfully crumbly Millet Falafel with tahini sauce; followed up with a really unique Pear Sorrentino with Cream Cheese and Truffle Pearls. For dessert, I had the gorgeously rich brownie dessert.
It’s worth noting that the flamenco night menu doesn’t have a vegan main course as standard, however if you let them know in advance, you should be able to order a vegan dish – on the regular menu, it’s Pak Choi with Tofu.
The flamenco night menu costs €48pp (€44 if you book in advance online, which I’d recommend doing).

BREATHE
If you’re looking for some more upmarket vegetarian food in Marbella, the rooftop terrace at BREATHE offers stunning views of the Andalusian landscape. Teeming with greenery and natural elements represented by fire, earth, air and water, it’s a relaxing oasis away from the bustling streets.
On the menu, vegetarians can enjoy Mushroom Ravioli, Roasted Pumpkin with Halloumi, and Roasted Pineapple with coconut ice cream for dessert. For vegans, options are more limited, but there’s a Panang curry and a variety of starters/small plates.
