Hey there! I’m Milly.

It’s short for something, but I’m not telling you what.

Originally from a small UK seaside town, my wide-fit-size-fours found their way to the big smoke. I liked it enough to stay, and I lived in East London for ten years, eating in as many places as possible and going to more gigs and festivals than I can count. I also became no stranger to booking city breaks in Europe!

Currently, I’m based in the UK working in Content, Social Media and Brand Strategy – all while planning as many adventures as I can squeeze in around my 9-5!

In my little digital home here, I share guides on how to make the most of your time around the world, whether you’re taking a day trip, weekend break or using precious annual leave.

Things I like include: pizza, metalcore music, scrapbooking my travels, neon things, dinosaurs, sour beers, fridge magnets, cheeseboards, Pepsi Max Cherry and dresses with pockets.

A few of my favourite things…

My Travel Story

I actually came to travel relatively late, when I took a trip to Barcelona in 2015. This was shortly followed by a ten day solo adventure in the USA with TrekAmerica (RIP). And the rest, as they say, is history.

I then ended up landing a job with the TrekAmerica team, and spent five years working in travel marketing. In my spare time ever since, travelling alongside my 9-5 has always been a priority.

In 2024, I embarked on my biggest adventure yet, taking a career break to backpack around Thailand and Vietnam with my partner and regular travel companion, Ashley! We ran our Working Holiday Visas ragged in Australia for a year, ticking off some bucket list experiences and taking on odd jobs to keep gas in the tank and food in our bellies.

While city breaks are my ‘bread and butter’, I’m also a big fan of outdoor adventures. Camping is my happy place, and I’ll never get tired of falling asleep to the sounds of the forest as I’m tucked up in my sleeping bag. Oh, and I spent a year living in a camper van in Australia, so expect some of that too!

I’ll never say no to a road trip, love a good hike and always want to explore new cities on foot as much as possible!
