Nostalgic Cocktails @ Little Nan’s, Deptford
Looking for a London cocktail bar with a nostalgic twist? Head to Little Nan’s for cocktails in teapots and after-school dinner classics! Definitely not your average nan’s house…

As soon as we entered, it was basically cameras out everywhere. Before even sitting down, we made the most of the fact we’d got an early slot and no one else was there yet and snapped away at pretty much every little nook and cranny of the space. Because the decor is AMAZING.
Think cult film posters, quirky mismatched furniture, neon, weird toys, even a garden gnome. Although thanks to all the pictures, you can see for yourself how fabulous it is. The amount of effort (and charity shop/jumble sale trawling) that clearly went into it is incredible, and whoever designed the space has a fantastic eye for making what’s basically a mixture of your nan’s attic and your 90s bedroom into something quite special.

As if it wasn’t good enough so far, Little Nan’s also brings out the ultimate playlist of nineties jams. Singalongs guaranteed. AND there’s even a little dress-up area with an assortment of colourful wigs, fabulous accessories and some pretty…unusual…bits and pieces too.
Props to Little Nan’s for putting a fan in there too, so we could pop our wigs on and recreate some music video wind machine fabulousness.

The cocktails are served up in Nan’s-house-style retro teapots, and have fun names like Sexy Frank Butcher. And the menus are stuck into vintage books, which we tried not to spill our cocktails on. Although I’m sure the Queen wouldn’t have minded a gin spill on her face too much.
And as well as teapots, you also get to pick your very own teacup from the wall to drink from! (I’m going to ignore the errant apostrophe in the sign, because it’s the cutest thing ever). Obvs, I chose a gin-related cup to sip my gin, elderflower and prosecco beverage from.

Little Nan’s is open from 4-11pm Monday to Friday, and 12-11pm Saturday and Sunday. Booking is advised but walk-ins are available if there’s space.
