National Tea Day Fes-Tea-Val 2018

A cup of tea before bedtime. Strong tea in the mornings. Tea-infused gin cocktails. Iced tea on a summer’s day. We all have our own favourite tea moments – for me, I’m a fruity tea gal through and through. National Tea Day is all about celebrating the British institution of tea drinking, and where better to celebrate it in the stunning surroundings of Chiswick House and Gardens with 2018’s Fes-Tea-Val?

Taking place on 21st and 22nd April 2018, there’ll be loads of tea-related activities to get involved in, including tastings, celebrity baking masterclasses and mixology sessions. One-day tickets are just £10 each, and I’m also giving away a family ticket too, worth £25. Entry info is at the end of this post, and here are some of the things you can expect from National Tea Day’s Fes-Tea-Val 2018…

The Tea’n’Tipple Boulevard

Live music and DJs, tea cocktails and tea-infused beers? I’m in! You can even learn to make your own with some cocktail masterclasses.

The Pavilion of Britishness

A place to appreciate all things British! There’ll be some ‘Best of British’ Food Pairings, where classic British dishes are combined with tasty teas. And if you want to up your posh factor, check out the Afternoon Tea Etiquette lessons!

Tea’N’Treat Village

For all sweet-tooths! Visit Sugar Mountain for tasting sessions and finding out more about sugar’s role in food and drink. Learn about tea flavour combinations with both sweet and savoury snacks too!

The Museum of Historic Teaware

Tea-drinking fuses with art, culture and history in this exclusive exhibition showing off pieces from The Chitra Collection. Take a peek at some really fancy and intricate tea-drinking stuff – a world away from your Sports Direct mug.

The Vitali-Tea Garden

For all things health and wellbeing. Get some yoga time in, pick up some healthy lifestyle tips or check out the plants in the Tea Conservatory.

The Tea Bazaars & Great Taste Market

Pick up loads of goodies at the marketplace – including loads of independent you won’t find on the high street. It’s not just teas from around the world either – artisan snacks and deli bites are all on offer.

Want to win a family ticket (2 adults, plus up to 3 children…you don’t have to have kids to enter though!) for the day of your choice? Just RT this tweet and make sure you’re following me and National Tea Day on Twitter. Giveaway closes on 9th March at 9am and the winner will be announced by the end of Sunday 11th March.
