I have to admit, flowers aren’t something I buy a lot. Soz Instagram. But, when they do appear in my life, I realise how much a simple thing can brighten up a dull room or a bad day. Last Saturday, this beauty of a bloom arrived on my doorstep courtesy of Blossoming Gifts and it’s been something of a highlight in my room throughout the week.
Blossoming Gifts offer a range of bouquets and gifts, from luxury hampers to great-looking and cheap flowers that are great for budget conscious bloom buyers. I picked out the Autumn Breeze bouquet* (£29.99) and its just lovely – full of pretty seasonal colours, especially the Orange La Lilies. The Blue Agapanthus and Pink Roses add a real burst of brightness to any room too. These would look great in a plain white or clear vase to allow the bright shades to stand out (I actually use a tall Koppaberg glass that I stole from a pub at Uni as a vase, in case you were wondering).
One thing I always worry about when it comes to flowers is how long they’ll last – no one wants to get home from work and see a vase full of shrivelled petals sitting on the table. But I’m so impressed with how this bouquet lasted through the week, and are still looking pretty healthy six days later. Blossoming Gifts provide customers with special flower food and advice for helping prolong the life of your posies, and I’ve definitely noticed my flowers lasting wayyy longer than they would usually by following the instructions.
The flowers also arrived boxed, properly wrapped and in impeccable condition – which is especially important if you’re sending them as a gift. Unless you want an angry phone call from Mum/Nan/girlfriend about a battered bouquet. Free Standard Delivery is available on all bouquets to order for the next day (must place order before 4pm) or any named date. Realised you’ve forgotten a birthday and it’s tomorrow? No probs.
Oh, and if the pretty flowers weren’t enough to brighten up my day, they came with a box of mini chocs which were SO VERY GOOD. All truffle-y and super cocoa-y and YUM. They definitely didn’t last anywhere near as long as the flowers though.
The selection on the Blossoming Gifts website is great, with flowers and hampers for all occasions – from celebrating a new baby to Christmas flowers. And, if you fancy treating someone to a flower delivery of their own you can get an extra 33% off by using the the code BGIFTS33.
