Benefit b.right Radiant Skincare 6 Piece Intro Kit, £10, FeelUnique
I’ve been interested in trying out the Benefit skincare products for ages now, but I don’t like to splash out straightaway on the full size versions of higher-end products without trying them out first. I’d seen this mini kit about for ages, but never got round to buying it for a while, and then they seemed to be out of stock every time I looked! I’ve never really done the ‘one brand’ entire skincare routine before, it’s always been odds and ends from sample boxes or that I’ve randomly bought, so giving this a go was fun!
Foamingly Clean Facial Wash (8.9g)
This wash cleanses the skin of dirt, make-up and other impurities and claims a ‘soft, gentle lather’. It comes out of the tube creamy, and definitely didn’t lather up as much as some foaming face washes I’ve used before – which I actually really like, as lots of lather usually ends up in my eyes!
Refined Finish Facial Polish (8.9g)
This facial polish gently exfoliates skin and purifies for a brighter complexion. I do like a good exfoliator, and this one actually has to be one of the best I’ve used – the beads are small and the consistency is nice and creamy, so it feels lovely to use and works really well. I can be prone to slightly flaky skin around the bridge of my nose (for some reason it’s always there!), but since using this I’ve had no problems!
Moisture Prep Toning Lotion (8.9ml)
This badboy claims to be ‘the special step for extra radiant skin’; smoothing, revitalising and boosting the effects of your moisturiser. I’ve been using other toners recently, and this one has a really lovely consistency, and you don’t need to use much at all to feel its soothing effects. It’s a step I probably could skip, but it’s a nice one to have there nonetheless!
It’s Potent! Eye Cream (3.0g)
I suffer from the kind of eye bags that could incur ‘week in Majorca?’ comments. I know, I know – I need to sleep more, but for the time being, this will do the job in perking my eyes up. It’s the kind of product you can actually feel working – it’s quite zingy! I’ve only been using it a little while, but the dark circles have definitely hidden away slightly, and in time it’s intended to protect the skin from damage too.
Total Moisture Facial Cream (8.9g)
Apparently ‘contains exclusive tri-radiance complex to help develop the skin’s reserves of water & reinforce skin’s moisture barrier for a radiantly refreshed complexion’. The bottom line is – it works. My skin is glowy and healthy feeling, which means it looks good too! Talking about consistency AGAIN, this one is really nice – it’s quite thick but you only need to use a little, and it doesn’t feel excessively heavy, and sinks in like a dream.
Triple Performing Moisturising Facial Emulsion SPF 15 PA++ (8.9ml)
This one’s for the daytime! As well as hydrating and comforting the skin with it’s oil-free formula, it protects against sun damage(not that that’s a HUGE worry at the moment!!!). As above, it sinks into the skin nicely and is a great morning perk up!
I’m incredibly impressed with the range – after a couple of days, my skin already feels better for it. The whole feel of the range reminds me of quite vintage, old-school products, from the light, fresh scent to the adorable packaging, I love love love the glass bottles for the Toning Lotion and Facial Emulsion. It’s aimed at all skin types, although I’m not sure how accurate that would be – I have normal skin, and it works well for me, and I can imagine it working for drier skin too, especially the moisturiser.
With the cute packaging and a decent price, this is a brilliant gift idea, for anyone who likes their skincare and wants to give the range a try, someone on the go a lot (it comes in a see through pouch, so brilliant for travel), or a younger person just getting into make-up and skin care.
Have you tried the Benefit skincare range? Do you stick to one brand for everything or chop and change?
