I’ll admit it, I’m a bit of a Soap and Glory fiend, and a typical girl in the sense that the cutesy packaging is irresistible! I also love a good face mask, so when I got this one in a massive Soap and Glory kit as a present a while back, I was pretty excited.
Now, the term ‘facial peel’ is a bit misleading for some, who may expect a product you literally ‘peel’ off. So I’ll just describe it as a face mask. Application involves massaging it into the skin to pop little blue beads to ‘activate’ the mask, which I didn’t realise for a while the first time I used it! It has a lovely light scent to it – although for the life of me I still can’t work out WHAT it smells of!
You can leave it on for 5-15 minutes, depending whether you want to give your skin a quick whoosh of freshness, or a deep cleanse. Being my usual haphazard self, and thanks to my father unexpectedly bagsying the bathroom, I ended up having it on for about 30 minutes. Rinsed off in the bath, patted dry, and the result? Soft, smooth skin!
It didn’t have quite as much effect on my pores as I was hoping for, but it did make my skin feel lovely afterwards. At £8 a tub, it’s probably a bit pricey for a regular mask, however you don’t end up using too much at once so it’ll last a while if it’s kept as a treat facial!
